We went through a lot when my grandmother came down with Dementia. She was never formally diagnosed. She was a strong-headed woman who made little time for doctors, but it was definitely a case of it being a duck.

It was very hard as her memory and physical abilities faded.

At least Kabu Wiley is still a loving person, I know it does not seem much, but as you know it is not always the case . Do try and have short break some days, as you know it is a constant drain on the carer. Yes I think it is alright to talk about this, you are the one under the most stress. At least Wiley appears to be able to conjur up a solution to the imaged mishaps. Take care.

Re:

I know darling that everyone has been affected by this rotten thing, it is just that writing about it relieves a bit of stress.

Kabu....My heart aches for you.... I went through this with my Mother during her last 3 years...when it slowly chipped away at my Mom's persona.   One positive thing was she forgot she smoked 2 packs of cigarettes a day  when she awakened one morning.  And she never smoked another one.

I would start each morning with a prayer for her, and for God to give me the strength and patience needed.   God's got to give you a great dose of strength.

And family members must give their share, no matter what.

My heart goes out to you. I am familiar with it. And now my daughter's FIL has it. i have often wondered which is worse, to be fully cogent and lose the use of your body, or the other way around? I have seen both, too much. Hugs to you, dear.

Totally understand what you are going through.  Been through it with my Dad, one of my sisters, and worked for a time in an Alzheimer's unit.  My thoughts are with you both, always.
