Well I am glad that you have the attention of a decent nurse, I expect she knows more about elderly folk than the doctor. Funny today my sister asked if I had a clock that ticks, her tinnitus has started up and she thinks the ticking helps. Most run on a small battery, but are silent aa you know, but I expect she will try the Charity Shops for a start.

I use my cellphone as my alarm clock. That way, if a power outage does happen, I don't run the risk of oversleeping. When the power goes out, my alarm clock sets itself to midnight and loses the time to be awakended.

Though that's not really funny about you carrying a ticking package, I had to laugh. Glad no one challenged you.

The ticking of a clock is kind of comforting, and the old fashioned
wind-up one never has to have a new Energizer Bunny battery installed, although you do have to remember to wind it. I think the NPs and Physician's Assistants are much better listeners sometimes than the busy busy busy doctors.

Oh, 9 am is early for me, too! You poor dears. It's wonderful the NP and you can discuss things and help to monitor dear Wiley. It's the same for me if I have to be somewhere early.
That was so funny about the clock ticking throughout the mall. My dad had one like that when I was little and I could hear it all through the night and all through the house. Darling, did you know your smartphone probably has an alarm? It's on the Clock icon, if you have one.

I hate alarrums going off in my sleep! If I set one, I will generally wake up a few minutes before, just to evade the jangle of my nerves.
