It is frustrating when customer service is not available for a long stretch. I've often felt like banging my head against a wall.

Sounds very pathetic, one should have access to an emergency line. You really need more help a carer should come in every day. Takes a month to see a doctor here for most complaints. Well it is said they work three days a week. I am afraid help and kind visitors are rare when needed . Now the man across the road from me is about like Wiley
but he has a nurse each day and the have begun to take him up and down the road with the help of a wheeled stabilizer. Of course this has been organized by the Hospital. Take care.

Well, this is a fine kettle of fish! Is it just me or do these bad luck
things come in threes? I'm hoping you now have a solid week or three with great mild weather, no internet problems, and that Wiley's balance returns and he has no trouble whatsoever making his way from here to there and back again. Oh, and while I'm casting my good luck spell, let's just see if we can't get some visits from his kids, and that they'll bring lovely food with them to share. I think Taps said it best.

Kabu - I'm so sorry to hear this. I might have wimped out, and cried...
Oh, it's terrible about your phone, internet, and all else. Not to mention the fact that you can't get more help. What if you weren't a nurse? So frustrating! My sis is the sole caretaker of one of my cousins and she's experienced the same thing several times with him falling, and he's a big guy; she's tiny but she also has had nursing training and worked in convalescent hospitals, but that doesn't make it easy or less stressful. Hugs to you both.

I'm so glad you have Spirit and Grit and are not a pansy wimp. Wish there was some way I could help you during troublesome times.

Give em all hell! Considering health needs, the provider has no problem ignoring the danger that results from their failure to maintain their service on weekends?
