- Go to Friday doesn't mean a great deal when one is retired...or a nurse.
When one is working a lot or when one is retired, the days just sort of blend in together.
For me, Saturday is a work day, so no TGIF for me.

I know sometimes it seems the days blend into two. I guess minutes are more important when one is a nurse, sometimes it means very different things happen.

First thing when I wake up every day I have to decide what day it is. Usually, my decision matches the calendar.

Kabu - how I loved this post...
Hope it doesn't rain too much there. Yes, you have spent years not having full weekends. That's what happens when one does shift work. It's nice to not have to consider whether it's Monday or Friday, unless one has appointments. You weren't an odd mother at all, dear. I also enjoyed having my girls home as long as I could, and was thrilled that they lived at home during college also, cause I had them home that much longer.

I can only thank you as one who's been a patient over a weekend,
the nurses who were there for patients were 100% into taking care of their patients, making sure they were doing okay, getting their treatments and a kind word. It's not a "job" - it's a calling. Happy Friday!
