Re: Corbin

of course I can have no idea of what life for you has been darling, the slight suspicions against me in this back woods area are nothing ...Nursing with RN's and patients who were gay or transvestite or lesbian taught me that no matter how much I loved people, I could never identify or share their trauma. All I have ever been able to do is to see the person. Respect them; Oh and BTW when of a group of we Nurses would go out together, the parties were memorable, so much fun! I am glad you got to kick some Butt back...can you imagine what hell they got back at them...love it!

It is a sad element of the human conditon. Hopefully, racism can be eradicated.

It is a sad trait. Hopefully younger generations will outgrow this prejudice.

KB.....You have no idea of what it's like to be different and not by choice.   The whispers, the names,  several butt kickings,  one or two I came out on top.  The acquisition of really cool friends, until a whisper in one's ear instantly dissolves the newly acquired bond of friendship.  They might be accused of being one, too.

Kabu - Thank you, and Pat, too! I salute you both.

Wonderful post, dear, sweet lady. We fear what we do not know. I'm at a loss for words here. So often in my life I've encountered prejudice, usually from people who just were ignorant of the facts. Tolerance is something we civilized people try to cultivate. Unfortunately, not all peoples feel the same way.

Oh, and I have cousins in Australia...
