It is extremely difficult these days to find good caregivers. That was an issue my father had with my paternal grandmother.

Are the care givers given a job description with a list of things they are being paid for doing?  Do they ever have you give a written evaluation?  Just curious.

The prob is K. Sometimes the one ,one wishes to help will reject a carer, that is a real problem. I would not worry too much if Wiley ignores or tolerates this one. Once when a carer came to look after my Mum, I knew immediately that she would not be suitable .She was a lovely person but she frightened my Mother instantly. I did get a lovely girl eventually but she had refused treatment or could not tolerate it in a hospital.

You just need a couple of hours rest at times. Life is a pain in the ass sometimes.

Would it be better if the non-help didn't come at all? Is that an option?

I know several old sayings about "useless as..." and nary a one of 'em

is ladylike. Made me smile to think of the days before I had kids old enough to pick up the bad words when I could say those frank and raucous comments without censoring myself.  And then there's Trish - a gem if ever I heard of one. As for boring posts - I love them. Boring is the opposite of when the sh*t hits the fan or all heck breaks loose. It's the fine opposite of OMG!

Kabu

Kabu darling, your posts are never boring, but always interesting. Don't even think that. I'm sorry your "helper" is anything but... Thank goodness you and Wiley enjoy Trish. And your Greek linen has gone to a very appreciate lady. Your post caused me to think that perhaps it's time for me to cull most of the linens I've spent a lifetime acquiring. Sigh.
