Perhaps you could find one of those rubber crutch tips to fit your
walking stick and give it some traction or make it non-slip. Just the bare wood may put you at risk. If all else fails, maybe take it to a shoe repair shop and have a bit of rubber sole glued on with super Gorilla glue.

I love your gnomes, and your gorgeous garden! So beautiful. Dear S. Sister, I have wanted a walking stick for the longest time. They use them often in my part of Italy because it's so hilly - of course, I'm not in Italy now, but... Do be careful the bottom of the stick doesn't slip. I'm glad Wiley is working on that.
