I always liked her. She was a true lady.
I'll bet she and Eleanor Roosevelt would have been great friends, since they both were so devoted to helping people. Miss Barbara has always been a great role model.

What a great post. What a lovely lady. Thank you for sharing with us. For anyone who might not know, she/they lost their first child, a beautiful little girl named Robin, to leukemia when she was five years old. What a terrible thing that would have been.

That's remarkable....she wasn't one drawn to the glitz......she did feel more comfortable among the people, unlike her husband, she was a wonderful person, at home with anyone.
