your post was wonderful, it made me smile. you were living in the moment, how great is that, it is so hard for most people to do. to just be in the moment and enjoy..... no yesterday, no tomorrow, just living in the moment. hang on to that.

Great post. And I really loved it that you took time to smell the roses. I've never been to Louisiana. I should have gone at sometime, but I never could tear myself away from the mountains.

When I was there with my parents ages back, we went on the Mississippi river tour. Mostly, though, it was all terribly hot and humid in late May.

I hope one of the things you enjoyed in New Orleans
was the beignets and chicory coffee and the open-air full-blown enjoyment of being in the world. And at least one brass band, or a performance at Preservation Hall for some New Orleans style jazz. You see, you've brought back memories for me, too. Thanks for your joyous post.
