to answer dear Taps i believe thet they are ending up in Museums ...the statues. Probably a safe aplace and where people can remember the history.

What are they doing with all of the statues they are taking/have taken down. Are they in a land fill?...being saved somewhere?....selling?...keeping in a special statue place?....crushing?.....
