I have heard that some dogs are more visual, some more auditory when it comes to commands, and some a happy combination of both. Davy was both. This one, the first thing is to get his attention at all!

I expected black & white coloring when I read the text, since there's
Border Collie involved. He's definitely adorable! If he can learn "sit" he can probably learn lots of other routines. I had a shepherd mix once who learned to respond to hand signals. It was by accident, I didn't even realize I was making the same hand gestures each time I said a word. Or maybe I was the one who was trained.
