I myself am unfamiliar with that sort of behavior.

Re Mr Graysome (great name)! Check out "wikihow" on how to stop cats from chewing. Interesting info on compulsive behauviour!

Well maybe he senses a change in the house and feels worried. I expect you treat him for worms, not that he would catch many inside unless he ate a mouse without you knowing.

Cats are strange at times. Sorry not helpful, look on the net.

kabu, my vet laughs at me when i tell him what a chore it is to keep my doggies from eating cat poop, maybe i should send you some doggie poop to try on Mr. Greysome.

Kabu

Poor Mr. G. - perhaps he is frustrated about all the visitors and goings on? And perhaps worried about Wiley. Otherwise, I am stymied. Hope your weather clears up.

I think if I had a cat that was eating the leather off my chair, I would

have to find it a new home. Maybe out in the snow room. In people hunger for ice seems to be a sign of iron deficiency - maybe Mr. Graysome is lacking some kind of mineral or other nutrient. There's been stuff on our local news about certain popular moist dog foods containing a chemical that's used to euthanize animals, and they've recalled it. Poor kitty.
