That sounds like a cute little song.
It is amazing how much writing has changed. When I was a kid, few kids knew how to type. Nowadays, most kids do.

I suppose we could learn complete sentences and just write one word to qualify them.
UMBAPe. You see one would have include the occasional small case letter. Or it could mean you may be a pig. Once of course would mean you May be a peach. Well it is being done already folk say LOL. Our ex minister kept putting it in his letters he thought it meant lots of love. It is rather crude at the moment but I'll write a new dictionary in say . 10long ones.

I guess being from the UK it's not surprising that I havn't heard this song but nice lyrics for chorus. For me I'm afraid it was a case of School Days dreaming away the day days! Couldn't wait for the shool day to end!

Oh, yes, we had the Palmer Method books. Everyone had to put the paper at a certain angle on the desk, hold the pencil a certain way, and form the letters in precision shapes. Problem was, I am left-handed, and in order to make the writing look like Teach wanted, I had to learn to make adjustments. Great post! Thank you, dear friend.

I loved learning script writing....took to it pretty quickly. Now, at my age, my writing is terrible again like I had never learned good writing in the first place.

I remember that song. Always loved it.
Funny thing, in Thursday writers group we were talking about cursive writing and the Palmer Method, which was how we were taught to write in those days. Thanks for the reminder.

A shame that here in the usa handwriting is no longer taught in the schools. another lost art.
