In order to make putting the groceries away just a bit less of an
irritation, I try to include a little treat that I can enjoy as soon as everything is filed away. Perhaps a slice of chocolate silk pie from the pastry section, or a bottled fruit smoothie, a symbolic (if fattening) reward for accomplishing the everyday. Crossing my fingers that the vet service assigns someone to help out on a regular basis.

Well obviously you need to take a break at times, I know it seems disloyal but one has to keep thinking ahead and not wait until you feel exhausted. Nothing is perfect but at least he is still the same nice guy that you fell in love with.

That is a very full and stressful day, dear Kabu. Yes, pack it in for the evening, and relax. I'm glad for you both that this day is done. It's good someone will most likely be coming in to help you, dear. That's a lot on your plate.
