Re:

SSL certificates used to be optional, but since places like Google and Yahoo and others got into the game, they are almost demanded or they train their browsers to tell you a site is bad. I spend about $250 a year in certificates for my various sites and such.

I sincerely believe they need to run updates on their server and reboot it. We didn't use to do that, but as I explained, now we do it every 90 days or so and our servers are much faster. With security needs growing, security updates are put out quite often. Our servers have a huge security net built over them and are programmed to shut down if they come under sustained attack. It is better to shut down and send me an email telling me what is going on than for it to succumb to the attack and the resulting damage. The Internet world has become a dangerous place.

Same here, BigV. Lost connection right after my last post while still editing. Been slow for about a week before that. When I clicked into the site and got the denial, I looked at the top bar where it shows the words keyed in to the search engine. I had tried several search engines. They all showed an "I" in gray for Information Before the Blogit etc words. I clicked into the "I" and it said the site was potentially unsafe, not to enter any secure information, as the Certificates could not be verified. It further said that 19 sites were attempting to use cookies. When I checked which cookies, I only saw 4. I gave up after several tries of no access or slow access. Not being tech savvy, I hope this helps someone.

Yes I could not get through this morning for a while. I thought it was just my machine playing up. Usually it takes before one can say Rumpelstiltskin.
