Re: Hello, overtherainbow. May I call you Jean?

For many a year I have wondered about your theory. Yes, as I pointed out in the post, I had been well-school to NOT pick up hitchhikers, ever, and never had, and never will again. So something caused me to stop. I did feel I needed to do that. I felt it at the time and went against logic. I always try to listen to my feelings (I was also schooled to do that). I keep an open mind, an open heart, and she was an angel, in one form or another, because she probably saved not only my life, but my children's as well, by causing me to miss the accident. How or why she was there, I'll never know. I will ask you now to please, if you can, drink organic carrot juice.

Re: C_C_T

Yes, those days are gone but it was a rule I never picked them up, nor did anyone in my family. It was just eerie at the time.

I have a thery about your hitch-hiking story.   We at times entertain angels, and i believe it is a test.....if you look back did you have a funny feeling inside that told you to pick her up?  good for you, too often we ignore those feelings.

Nice story, the kind that leaves the theme from "Twilight Zone"

echoing in the mind at the end.

Time was one would pick up a lone traveler, but those days have gone. It was a good sequel to your deed. Although it must have been traumatic at the time.
