Well, sis
Some vested political interests will serve someone. That's all I think, because here in India it is a a common practice to demand for a separate state.

The idea goes deeper than wanting to have three smaller and efficient governments. I think this billionaire is doing it because he wants to be in a state that shares his political opinions, one of which will give him tax advantages.
Congress would never give the approval for that. The Republican Party could easily gain 4 senators from the looks of it.

It is funny everywhere there is this strange desire to split from the whole. I think it must be folk who want to be a bigger frog in a smaller pool. Perhaps it is the nature of things probably little resentments that are brought to light. California is I believe about the size of England and we are subject at times to the same scenario.

Re: Pat
I wouldn't post a story that is fraudulent. That is not something I would ever knowingly do. I hope these links work. This is no doubt about reapportionment. These people don't care about earthquakes.

Re: TAPS - It's probably about reapportionment...
Hope these links work, dear TAPS. I wouldn't stoop to posting fraudulent posts, and this is just one that is unreal.

The first question that came to mind after I read your post
was, how would that work after "the big one" - the earthquake that's supposed to shake much of the Pacific coastline into the ocean when it hits. California as an economic force in the world might not do so well if divided. I hope this is a fraudulent story...

How would that help anything? I'll have to check out that site when I am a little more awake. The link doesn't seem to work for me.
