Re: Aba, only I could embarrass myself so royally
I couldn't see well, that was the main problem. And by the time I could see them, up close and personal, I had already blurted out the words asking who they were. I think it was they who were the most shocked, bro.

Re: Pat
Thanks, Pat! I wasn't a huge fan, either. But time has shown they have prevailed and they are interesting now. They looked at me like I was putting them on; just total disbelief!

Re: FSI
Yep, it's funny. And you are right, no one could get that close to them now, nor will air flight ever be again as it was then.

This is a god one, sis.

Not to be recognizing the Rolling Stones! I just wonder who was more surprised, you or them?

Well they might have been an unknown group and it would have given them a buzz.
Lucky they did not pull you inside.

Love this story!
With their fame and ego, it was probably just the little touch of humility they needed. I wasn't a big fan back in the day, too busy raising kids, etc., but I really like them now when they show up for an interview or special appearance.

That is an awesome and funny event that happened to you all. I can only imagine what they were thinking.
Reading this strikes me in a couple of ways. One is how much air travel has changed in recent times. Second, I imagine not too many people can get that close to the Stones these days.
