While sky is grey

Those pictures made me smile, and think:

"Well, as time (and winter) goes by, spring and summer will come."

I'm sorry to hear that your power keeps going out, but still... Great to see you here again, anyway.

My best thoughts for both of you up there.

Once sunflowers seemed to only have one head. Now there are many different types I saw one which was a perennial not that it would stick it out in your garden, probably.

Of course you miss the sun, but it is a nuisance here early morning low and dazzling very often. Pink clouds tonight .Shepherds delight.

I love bright and beautiful.  Good photos for a gray, rainy day, which we have here and I must get out in it for a Doc appointment.

In gray November one needs to turn on lights in the house, maybe

twinkling strings of them, framing doorways or windows - too early I think for the Christmas tree, but combatting the dark moods may be part of the reason the tradition got started in the first place. Or maybe take out the paint box and do a rainbow colored abstract canvas that's just for fun.  :)

I worked from home today. When the doggies looked outside and saw more grey and more rain, they turned back to me with such woeful faces - I couldn't face leaving them alone. I turned the music to some rock n roll, opened a small bag of doritos and threw the chips in the air for them to catch on the floor, danced around in my PJ's until I was totally out of breath, then phoned the office to gasp 'Need sick day. Whatever is urgent I'll do from here.'

It worked. I shoulda been a con artist. I wish you were closer so we could come up with these plans together!

Kabu

I love the beautiful pictures of sunshine and flowers. They warm the heart and cheer the soul. Perfect for a cold day. Sunny thoughts I send your way, dear S. Sister.
