Re: FSI
See, live and learn! It is one of the most unusual things I've ever heard though.

Re: C_C_T
It's so sad there there were no services (treatments) for soldiers returning from wars until lately. Not really. Our Vietnam vets are just now getting treatment and recognition for what they went through. I'm sorry about your grandfather. That's a sad story. Yes, my memories are quite clear. It runs in the family. But what did I have for dinner? LOL.

I was unaware of that. The only cooties I was previously aware of were "germs."

Never heard of it but it should be entered in the dictionary as a small honour to those who served. I still remember a few who visited my Dad for a few oddments one could hardly breathe having been gassed and one was in a dreamworld. One of my Grandfathers joined quickly because he was an ex-soldier and there was no work in the villages. Of course he never survived. Your memories are quite clear.

Re:Pat_B
I can just be they had a very good time. They also had a secret handshake, Uncle said. That was intriguing. They all were heroes; they went through Hell, walking/marching/fighting through England, France, Belgium and God knows where else, dug into the trenches in France, watching people get blown away, so they can call themselves whatever they like, in my book. Thank you, Pat, glad you enjoyed the post.

Re: Kabu
It is rather obscure, isn't it? With a name like that... Yes, old Uncle (he was always old, it seemed, from when I first remember him) did enjoy it when we laughed. He laughed along with us. It is funny, the Order of the Cootie. LOL.

I've never heard of the Order of the Cooties, but it sounds like
the kind of fun those vets would enjoy. Heroes tend to say they're just ordinary people, which makes them even more amazing. Loved this post.

No I have never heard of it, not ever in my life before. I am sure though that poor Uncle, they were not a force to be laughed at...although he obviously enjoyed the children's glee.
