Thank you, dear S. Sister. I'm glad you felt it good and I understand what you mean about wanting to know the outcome.

Re: C_C_T

I hope you find the next installment has better news. I had never thought of there even being a stop button and I found out yes, accident have occurred. I cringe every time I see parents with small children get on those escalators and not pay any attention to their kids.

Re: sky08

Thank you, dear. It takes a tremendous amount of inner strength. And that was just the beginning. In the end, one becomes stronger. Many thanks.

Re: FSI

It was a living nightmare. I wanted time to stop but the escalator just kept rolling on down toward the place where it would chew off her foot, through the screams.

Re: GM

Yes, it was a true horror! It happened because there was a gap between the horizontal and the vertical of the escalator step and wall, and the belt of the escalator stairs wobbled. Her tennie was untied a little and the lace got sucked into the gap and swallowed her foot next, in a flash. I recall looking at that bottom stair of the escalator on the screaming ride down. It was amazing that someone was able to stop it just in time.

Re: Kabu

I wish I could say that was the worst for scary that has ever happened. These things make us stronger because we have no choice. Yes, my poor baby. Thank you, dear Kabu. It was bad.

So scary. I would have PTSD. It is so hard to appear calm and soothe your child while your insides turn to jelly.

Talk about scary. I am sure that is one of those times where time stood still.

Well let us hope the next installment is more reassuring. A good idea to look out for the stop button I never like getting on that machinery. Although I expect accidents have occurred and hopefully risks lowered;.

How horrible.....  I am waiting for the next part of this story.  How could this even happen?  The escalator must have been designed or built improperly.  Thank God it did have a stop button, and somebody found it.  If not, your daughter's foot would surely have been sliced from her leg.
