Re:
You must have looked adorable, fashion was pretty tough on women at times. Designed by men no doubt.

Re: People sometimes take advantage of a "free" offer, and end up

Re: mneme
Well I did not object to folk having coffee, but here we have three coffee shops very near by and they rely on sales to keep going. I suppose folk walk around now in the street drinking coffee instead of smoking.

People love coffee promotions...We learn a lot from our experiences growing up.

never wore stays and definitely never ate a dish of Faggots. In fact I had to look it up and thought no way I would put that in the same list of things I don't eat with tripe. Can you tell I never went hungry in my life!

Just read your second poem... faggots are my least favourite thing. My mother loves them and before she went into the nursing home she used to try to get me to eat them when I had lunch at her house.

Not mentioning any names CCT but it begins with W and we find it annoying to have to pay for your shopping before you can get your free coffee.... we liked to get one on the way in and potter around with the trolley and our coffee - very civilised, but there you go. Not the same when you have to take it home in the car, so we no longer bother with the coffee - which I guess was part of their strategy?

People sometimes take advantage of a "free" offer, and end up
losing out on a good thing. I used to enjoy the 2 oz. sample cups of coffee on offer at our store - and have bought ground coffee when there was one I liked. As for the ways of a man with a maid, I cannot say I ever had that figured out. What people want and what they say they want are often two disparate things.

Sometimes free coffee is okay but one never knows if it's going to be any good or not. I usually won't take it. Mae West made Diamond Lil is pretty famous and a your wrote a cute poem about lady.

There were stays in my undergarment when I was dressed in my wedding dress (1958). I never had a smaller waist than when I wore that.
