I'm with you....I have fear of storms ever since last year at work when that storm sent me flying through the air

I watched a storm blow through tonight. I don't mind when they're not dangerous, but the storms seem to be getting more scary as time goes on. I also feel like the northeast has become the tropics. It seems to storm every evening in the summer. That's not normal.

I love to sit outside and watch thunderstorms, but now that Mommy is so petrified when they happen, it's not so easy.
WIth your family's experience it's no wonder your mom was afraid too. What do you thinl of Pat-B's comment? A project, maybe?

We had a storm today. ALL day! lol Storms don't bother me. It's when we get Tornado Warnings and then I'm in the bathroom with my flashlight, phone, laptop, lol

I don't care for storms, since I live in Tornado Alley. I am not afraid of them, not do I venture out into them. I can easily go to sleep and forgot all about them as they do their dances. I love the lake side sunsets we enjoy here.

Storms have never bothered me - I find them exhilarating; but I also enjoy a quiet sunset after a raging storm...

You've had your share of storms lately and I do hope the weather gets better. I don't care for thunder and lightening either, but my mom was really afraid of it.

Storms
Hi, I'm new here. I read your blog about storms. I love thunderstorms and I wish we had them here more often, but it's probably a good thing we don't. I live in a rain shadow desert and when lightning strikes here, it ends up setting the countryside on fire.

The same disease that my Mother's own mother contracted. Too many children after a soft upbringing and then near starvation. She did not have the knowledge that a rougher former lifestyle might have provided. glad that you are both OK. It has been so hot here we have all been wilting .

My paternal grandfather, who I never got a chance to meet, loved to watch thunderstorms. He would sit in the patio and enjoy them. My paternal grandmother loved the patio, too.

I used to love watching thunderstorms from the shelter of the porch
when I was a kid, but the storms we had in eastern Washington were mere blips compared to the crashing storms of the midwest. These rattle the windows and bones. I thought of you the other day - here in our town they've started a rock painting summer thing - bright colors and words like Love and Peace, to be left on park benches and in little nooks and crannies to make people smile.
