You have a great memory of those summer days. You make one feel as though one was with you taking the journey.

nostaglia can be good when we recall happy times or when it allows us to better appreciate what we have now... I hope that the rains have stopped... :)

Love how the backgrounds make each entry different. My son is very restless, and i like to sit inside. But he told me about a concert at the lake starting tonight, so I am making sure that I go. Even bringing Maria because she LOVES music. I didn't go last year because I worked nights.

EEK ! I bet you would not eat a squid at this moment. I suppose you could go out and gather a few snails if you feel nostalgic and you could make the gnomes a sand pit?.
Joking aside you still have those happy memories and they might never have resurfaced but for this little site,be happy it makes no difference in the long run.

I never saw a slimy squid,
I never hope to cook one
But I can tell you anyhow
I'd rather cook than be one.

Aren't these cook-outs on the beach great? We used to do it in Nova Scotia at Ballantyne's Cove, buying lobsters right off the boats at 1 $ a piece and boil them in pots filled with sea water! And of course we had plenty of wine...

A lovely an peaceful post. I'm glad you can remember the good times. It sounds like you are in a good place, S.Sister. Hope a new gnome arrives who can stop the rain.

Walks along the beach, nothing but the surf and the gulls circling
and riding on thermals. Now that's respite.
