No. She melted it in a little pan and poured it on top of her jelly.

Re:Kabu
one will believe it Kabu, but I read years ago a woman had her twin fetus lodged inside her body. Yes I still have them in a glass dresser saves dusting.

Sorry RP. There were no secrets in this village. Families were known by nickname such as the bagass Williams.

Re: Taps
The paraffin stoves had a bit of a problem unless kept in tip top condition. I usually had to sort it,which usually was tipping the fuel out on the garden and refilling with new wicks.Condensation was the culprit it would settle in the paraffin and then soak into the wicks. I can tell you it was not a nice thing to do in winter, and I just remembered we never thought of charging. Your setup looks a bit weird, didn't she have a primus.?

I always enjoy your tales of those days! But the old girl had a daughter, even though she had never been with a man? Maybe another case of immaculate conception, then...😁

This is how my mom used parafin. I had to google parafin cooking stoves. I had never seen one of those. When I was tiny, mom had a coal oil cooking stove. When the gas came through our neighborhood, we got it and a new gas range.

Perhaps the girl was brought up by the lady from infancy and had belonged to a relative or friend. I'll bet you enjoyed the biscuits.
