Kasper I really do not know , I just pulled it out of a pile of old poems and changed it a little. I do wish there was a symbolic meaning behind it,but alas I cannot think of one.

I would not think many would Shelly. Once in the dark ages folk saved rabbit skins they were made into gloves by the village women, I can see them now sitting behind a window
turning the sowing machine.

Well the proof of the pudding Justi. It is better to grow ones own dear. I remember a man saying his vegetables were organic, but he used an unmentionable fertilizer.

I quite enjoyed this poem. I'm a pretty fussy shopper for food. It's got to be fresh. I don't go for warm wine though, and am sorry buy not a fan of soft butter! LOL! Most people are, I know. Yes, it's more difficult now. Before, when I was a kid, one went to the market and the butcher sold fresh meat or fish, and the veggies were just there and one bought them. Vitamins were USA, One-A-Day; now I just bought some and they're from China. I'm returning them.

I am loving eating only vegetables and them raw. It is so nice not to worry whether what I eat may or maynot be GMO or raised in such a sick manner you can not stand to eat them.
