Well if you live in the wilds do not expect a double decker bus to pass by your door. The crows come and take most of the walnuts here and then we don't see them at all much.
They used to roost in the cemetery on the hill but when the Elm trees died they had to find other locations. Peonies don't last long ,do they did yours survive? Mine came into flower and lasted about a week.

So now you even threaten the birds with your broom? Better be careful - next time you're up in the air those crows might attack you...

I used to have a murder of crows living in my old Seattle neighborhood.
Every time I'd go out the door to catch the bus to work, they'd announce my presence like a butler. Sometimes I miss those guys. Later on I saw a BBC documentary on crows, who can not only recognize faces, they can tell other crows - like new hatchlings - how to know friendly humans from the unfriendly ones. You can bet they are keeping a friendly eye on you...

Well, dear Kabu, I'd be tired of the rain, too! As it is, I'm tired of the overcast days. You have crows; we have doves. They do make a lot of noise. Hope you get sunshine this week!
