Re: RPresta

He talks all the time about anything and everything.  LOL.  I'm always kidding him about "fanning" his bedroom door coming out to tell me some new thing, or asking me what I think about a situation.

It sounds like a very interesting book that of which you are reading.

Wild dreams are so much fun! I would be thanking Son #1, both for his caring and for the stories that caused the dreams.

I think it's sweet how he talks to you about his time in the service.

Perhaps you are seeing into things abroad. The president and his wife are now or were last night enjoying a lavish dinner in the  royal palace in Arabia. I love your relationship with your son whether it is healthy for either of you is your draw but it is not a truly lonely one. All your boys love their Mama.

Sounds like my conversations with Herbert Lom the other night - lol.  Though  my problem isn't going to sleep - it's waking at all hours for no good reason, then having ridiculous dreams.

I expect he feels lonely at times, talking about his old mates might soften the pain.

would love to have a talk like that with a Son . My # 1 usually waits until I am about to leave before he says anything that might be important.

# 2. just yelled at me.

perhaps that flying ship you dreamed about ended upside down in the desert!!

Re: Naut

I've tried.  He won't.  He doesn't mind me sharing things he tells me, but says, "Writing's not my bag."

Fascinating! Why don't you get Son#1 to write up some of his adventures? I'm sure people would be thrilled!

Sometimes bed time is such a tease! But I remember when talking until dawn was a typical college night.

Great to have a conversation like that with a son.

And not a cell phone to be fiddled with the whole time!  Well worth the loss of ZZZ's to build this bridge between minds.
