I tried very hard this year to get my sparrows to find a different spot for their nest. They always make it under my deck, which means they tend to poop all over my deck...
But after trying to entice them twice (by moving the few twigs they started with... I know I felt badly about it too)... they just started again. I thought they'd find a new location, but the are stubborn! I finally gave up and dropped a big heap of nesting material right where they needed it. Within a day, their home was made and they are happy as can be. And I'm hosing down the deck....

Oh that is so great, dear Kabu! My mom always liked the wrens. I almost think she felt sorry for them, since they are plain. You will enjoy them.

Wrens are great...
Got a couple nesting in our mudroom. How they managed that I'll never know, but they are welcome.

You lucky little thing. I hung three on the back of the house ,but no takers. I think if I had hung some fake ivy around them they would have looked more homely.
