I'm sure you'll be comfortable in the end. And I fully agree that a smaller house is better than an apartment. Of course many people don't mind, but I for one could not live in an apartment...

if could get a plot of land you could put a nice mobile home on it that way you dont have to live in a community where they tell you what to do. Good luck

Good luck! My Aunt is in the process of downsizing, as well. She's looking at condos though. She doesn't want a house anymore. My Uncle has passed so she is by herself. She doesn't want to deal with the upkeep on her own.

it is sad but I think it is probably a really good idea to down size. We have a small house and love it though it is crammed full with stuff. LOL. get a place with 2 bedrooms and you can still have that grandson come to stay. will be interested to see how things go.

If you could get a nice plot, perhaps you could grow flowers for sale. More profitable than vegetables. Good luck whatever you do, no good waiting until you do not feel like doing so.
