The fixture is not at risk in that way, it is a sort of box and the nest was built on top of it, not where the bulb goes, or any wiring.

I dunno, but I think if it were my light fixture I'd find a bit of chicken
wire and screen it so they couldn't nest there - Just a bit concerned they might scrape the insulation off the wiring or pull it loose & start a fire. There was a fire on the news here caused by birds nesting in a porchlight - crazy small chance of it happening, I realize.

Don't be surprised if the parents have another love in and more babies when these are off and flying.

Try some meal worms soaked if possible. Life is tough until young birds can fathom out that food does not get poked down their throats for always.
