A life full of words
Sounds great. Actually, you mentioned that you didn't just write a lot, but also read a lot. That reminds me of something I read/heard once in a while. Don't remember if it was Mr. King who wrote "read a lot - write a lot".
But it's always interesting to hear about your life as a writer and in general of course, dear Kabu. I really enjoy following you here in Blogit-Ville.
Especially, when you're one of those friends I didn't meet in person.

I've always loved stories, the ones in books and the ones told by
the grownups at the pinochle table about their escapades - tales told when they forgot little pitchers with big ears lurking nearby. I love the heart you put into your stories, the well-meaning characters you create.

I'm not a writer. Yet I'm here. I'm one of the rare few that didn't search out this site. I have often said that I joined as a favor to a friend who wanted me to read her blog. She quit within a month, and I stayed. Now, again I only came back as a favor to a different friend. It's a mystery for me. LOL

You started writing at a very young age...It seems like for a lot of people, the big problem is finding or making the time to write.

Quite impressive! Maybe I'll too start one day, although I've always found other people's writings more interesting then my own...

So nice and impressive to know you as a recognized playwright and that your play has been staged. Wonderful indeed! And you are brilliantly humble and a kindly person.

Oh, dear Kabu, such an impressive body of work, and so many wonderful things you have written; books, poetry and even an award-winning play! All this while doing your studying and nursing. And still there is more to come... I am just in awe! Not to mention writing for the folks in long-term care, who must have loved what you did for them. I have always thought that would be such an interesting thing to do, for they must have many stories to tell. I must bow, or at least attempt a deep curtsey, in respect! You have many gifts, among them being your humilty about it all. It's a pleasure to read about your writing, and to know you.
