Catching up, here. So frustrating that must have been. I write ideas down in my iPhone when that happens. Sometimes it's the middle of the night.

I think you should have a small notebook and pen on your nightstand to jot down the ideas before they are lost! Don't let the next great novel get away from you!!! Your sam I am

I have woken up, too, from some dreams with a great story idea only to forget it later. It is something how we do not remember most of our dreams and of those we do, we are only remembering snippets.

Well next time write it out first. I hope it was not about frogs.
I don't blame the crow I bet that glare you gave it marbleized it completely. When our Wiley is better and it is warm, perhaps he will make you a scarecrow.

Net gremlins lurk around writers' cpu locations, watching for
supremely perfectly correctly apt never-to-be-repeated bits of story... And when they see one, they zap in, erase every pixel and jot, and leave the writer's mind a blot.
