Things are very tense politcally and religiously (I guess one can argue that religion is political as well) these days.

I think you are quite right in exploring, questioning, discussing and then find out on your own the rights and the wrongs. One has to be open-hearted to be able to listen from the other side of the fence.

One good thing came out of that first marriage (besides your children)
