That is great that she is going to be closer to home. I myself when I was applying to college did not want to be more than an hour away from home. I settled on Loyola College of Maryland, which is about a half hour away.

I am a thoroughgoing fan of the game of Cricket. I once played myself. Second only to Indians, I love the Australian players. Have a mind once at least to spend time in that beautiful country. Say my congrats to you princess.

Don't know how it works in Australia, but commuting between home
and campus seems like a good idea to me. Kids away from parental supervision can get involved in the party scene and forget that education is the point of being there... Not that your darling grandchild would do so. I'm sure she knows the point of the whole thing.
