Re: Nautikos

Well, that's a new one on me, Naut! But I'll take it. I once worked with a lady who had been a Flamenco dancer - uhh, not at work, in Mexico. LOL. Me, I love that Flamenco guitar... Thank you.

RP

For me this evokes a vision of a passionate Flamenco dancer...

patmore - I had trouble posting a response to your comment.

Thank you, patmore. Though the title is the same, the two poems are quite and entirely different. Hers really shines when you consider the last two lines. Her bio claims she had said her husband was gay, though it is of no consequence to me, but it does slant the poem's view toward her well-known wit, having that bit of background knowledge. Thank you for your comment and for the poem.

Re: Annicita

Yes, that would be great. I see visuals often when I compose, and would like to incorporate them into the narratives. But... Thank you.

Re: RPresta

Your title, Finis, instantly reminded me of a poem with an identiccal title by Dorothy Parker. Very different fom yours (which I also like) Here it is:

Finis

Now it's over, and now it's done;
    Why does everything look the same?
Just as bright, the unheeding sun, --
    Can't it see that the parting came?
People hurry and work and swear,
    Laugh and grumble and die and wed,
Ponder what they will eat and wear, --
    Don't they know that our love is dead?
Just as busy, the crowded street;
    Cars and wagons go rolling on,
Children chuckle, and lovers meet, --
    Don't they know that our love is gone?
No one pauses to pay a tear;
    None walks slow, for the love that's through, --
I might mention, my recent dear,
    I've reverted to normal, too.

Quite emotive RP. Your aspirations will appeal to the romantics. You will make a lovely Angel.

Hi there ... wow Presta

The beginning when I lose my self to you, take my hands, raise me, fly me above the Never ofTomorrow, leaving behind each Yesterday that never was. Scintillating, finest of fine imagery to say the least. Wow dear Resta I said ... left speechless! That is all I can say.
