- Go to once upon a time ...A true story.
The church has evolved greatly over the years, especially with the emergence of the megachurch. We have one moving into Location B where a BMW dealership used to be. I heard that they are paying $20,000 per month rent.

I'm afraid that has happened way too often. What a shame.

Well I wonder why did not he original group re-group, they could have started from scratch. It was a power struggle nothing to do with the idea of religion, but then it rarely is.

I agree with Justi. The true church or temple or mosque of any faith is within onesself. However, there's also great comfort and motivation within a community of like-minded people. It's very sad what happened to that lovely little church in the house. It grew. It evolved. And unfortunately, it became something it was never intended to be. I wonder what happened to the original priest?

If one is a true believer, it all must happen within themselves. One can't be living according to the Lord's methods and fighting in or out of the church over what He wants it is all in the Word.

I am not surprised it failed. When we alienate people the Lord gets unhappy and nothing good comes of it! It really is too bad since it has such a great beginning! Your sam I am

Oh, dear S, Sister, this happens so often and it is disheartening, even to hear. Does that not make them hypocrites to the faith to which they prescibe? Great post.

Seems to happen in human groups. Tightly knit and of one mind
and then change comes, and with it, discord. Sorry to see it happen.

This is an all to familiar story about small churches when seemingly they've grow to big for GOD and move forth as business full of prerequisites!
