I read an article FS in 1509 when I was born, a chap was forecasting the weather he said he had noted that if we had a warmish January it would mean a warm summer. So there you are keep an eye on the weather,of course I don't know if that just applied to England and it may have been the state of the gulf stream of which he probably did not know..
