Thank you. Yes, this story was written back in 2013 I think. I learned many things from my Father, most amongst them was compassion for others. I spent a life time as a medic and an ER nurse. I did the best I could.

I read your free gift. I do think Americans occasionally are more sentimental.
You perhaps wondered why you did not get more response, I think as you know it is well written, I do feel though that it is rather sad. It made me ache at times thinking of your suffering. Probably because it reminded me of sad things that have happened.It was a brave thing you did to ease your father's potential suffering, of course not many see it that way, they just cannot accept a loss that could be prolonged, such is human nature. I did wonder what I would have done if my father had jumped out on me when I was feeling nervous. I am afraid I would not have been as forgiving as you, but it was really hilarious. I really did not know that horses would not would act like that,but Only I knew one vaguely and remember it chewing my Grampy's waist coat which he left on the fence. and his swearing about it. Thank you anyway It must have been written before your loss I feel.
