I'll bet Dad found a bank somewhere. Probably not a big bank, but one specializing in loans that the big banks wouldn't finance.

Nearly guaranteed immediate and huge profits
is what seems to be needed for banks to be willing to help grow small businesses. Incredibly short sighted and also unwise in the bigger economic scheme of things. I stay away from big banking chains and am a member of a credit union instead; hey many of those offer business loans, I do believe - just a thought.

You would think that the support of small business would be better than that. It is what our country was until big business took over and looked down on small business.

They don't like chance, I suppose they have had nasty shocks at time. It is a job for a small business to make a start. Your Dad knows his onions.

My experience with banks extends no further than the tellers, and I flirt with them...

I thought, when I was very young, that banks were the people's friend. They were in business to help people. Ha!

The banks can normally find loopholes where there isn't any FSI. They would rather do business with the unethical than downright honest guys.
