Lovely Granddaughter, Dear Kabu..

Hurtful times, but all things pass and children mature - perhaps in the not too distant future, both grandchildren will take it upon themselves to find you and know your grandmother's love.

As you say, she is very beautiful.
I also have grandsons that I have not been able to "grandmother" since they were very small.  I am proud of them from afar.  Maybe some day.....

Never mind Kabu one day she will know the truth. She carries your genes whatever happens. One day she will become curious. Be happy.

Facebook can be both a blessing and a curse. A blessing in being able to reconnect and communicate. On the other  hand, it can be painful, albeit nice, to know what people we have fallen out of touch with for whatever reason are up to.

Kabu

She's a beautiful girl and I agree with Pat because she has her grandmother's genes, and it also happened to me; I was the granddaughter asking about my maternal grandparents for a family tree. And I ditto Chuck. Time can heal and I pray it heals the rift. Bless  you, S. Sister. You are a good person. And Wiley, too!

She's a beautiful young lady.  I pray you will see her again one day.

Very sad to read your post. I always taught my kids how to love; even ones the ones that don't like them. They turned out very loving kids who loved by everyone. This is how you can elevate the soul higher. I wish one time your granddaughter will wake up and ask for you. Have a wonderful weekend

I'm sorry that you can't communicate love, perhaps one day all will be well. I love you

One day that child will do a family tree project in school

and she will ask about the roots and branches from which she sprouted. And when she does, you can send her your stories so she knows almost as much about her loving grandmother as she'd have learned if you'd been there to tell her about the olden days in person. You will become her treasure.
