Re: Wiley

That was yesterday--the copycat WileyTurd has been closed down.  Haven't heard the sousaphone since the weekend.  They are usually nice and quiet all week while they work hard every day.  We shall see what happens this weekend.  Hopefully he gave it away or sold it.

Wow Wiley would have complained to management long long before this. Surely you don't have to put up with more than a half hour a say. Even if he was brilliant at that thing, they are not much on their own.

I say it would take about a week...I am very fortunate to live in a quiet neighborhood.

Well you must be a very patient household. i think you will have to take some kind of restraining action. Most would have murdered him by now.

This will continue until the next whim. I'm sorry. It must be maddening.

Some people ARE that obtuse.

Maybe he just doesn't realize... Maybe a note on his door...?

I gave you a comment similar to RP's last night, but it kind of evaporated into the darkness, LOL - and in spite of your response to her, I still think this is outrageous! I have this clarinet that I would never inflict on my neighbours in the middle of the night...

Re: RPresta

I am being patient because I am remembering the time years ago when I bought myself a shiny red concertina that looked just like that belonging to Papa Geppeto in Pinocchio and tried for the longest time to try to teach myself to play it.  The only thing I ever accomplished was the Bohemian/Czech version of La Paloma.  My music practicing was long and squealingly loud and I'm sure my neighbors gritted their teeth when the windows were open.  I finally gave it away to someone else who wanted to try it.

I am so sorry you have to deal with this...

Living in confined spaces, one needs to be respectful of others around him. It seems your neighbor isn't aware of this. I am truly sorry.

I was lucky growing up in that I was raised in a home where the nearest neighbors were pretty far away. They couldn't hear my awful piano playing or my attempts to lean how to play the bassoon. Only my parents had to bear those atrocities. LOL

*hugs*

Oy! After 2200 hours here, one can call the local PD for a noise disturbance assist. Sounds like that may have to happen there! Those things are loud! Even if one can play the thing. And yes, there is a family member I have who can play one...though fortunately, he doesn't live in this house.
