Yes, I get it! :) I had a brief conversation once at my workplace with someone who had just returned from vacation in Mexico, and who also had a strong accent. I said, "Oh, Mexico, how lovely to go there." The response was, "Yes, and they have great peaches there, too!" I said, "Peaches? ! I didn't know that." Answer: "Oh, yes, sandy, white peaches and blue water..." BEACHES! Not peaches!
