Wendy must have made some noise. When I've been in bear territory we were always warned to make lots of noise as we went along so as not to surprise a bear.

Kabu you are naughty Wendy went to all the trouble to make a treat for Bruno ,it was tipped out of the bucket, are the squirrels going to have to eat it? Poor Wendy you will have to find her a pet.

I'm just wondering where Bruno's going to hole up for winter...
An old badger den? abandoned coal mine? limestone cave in a niche in the cliffs? With his mother gone, no one to show him. Or maybe he'll remember or stumble upon the one in which he was born... I'm enjoying this story - and learned something about the deer not hanging around where live the bears.

Glad Mr Bruno found a tree with a bunch of blackberries, otherwise I can't imagine him running after Ms Wendy and crunching instead of munching, LOL.

Quite an education: too many deer EQUALS no bears. How the co-exist;
