I always think of my Dad as the ultimate gardener. He did it perfectly--right times, right places, no weeds,... He tried to make my Mom promise to bury him with his hoe in the casket with him, and she would not. Son #1 remembers everything Grandpa taught him in his garden. He especially loved how he showed him to make perfect rows by placing a little stake at each end and stringing a straight line to plant the seed, then measuring for the next perfect row. He still has Grandpa's little notebooks of what he planted on what day and when he reaped each thing and how many,
