The average car wash club member is paying $25 per month. It is not worth getting a collection agency that is going to gobble up a good portion of that $25.
It does not take that much time for me to do. In a 28 day period, I work 196 hours. I only spend an hour a month handling it. I would spend way more time involving a collection agency.
So it easy to do it in-house.
Also, I believe it sounds better for the customer to get a call from the Mom and Pop shop rather than a collection agency, which has a negative connotation in one's mind.
