You have me wondering who it is that is shooting them. A lot of mystery there.

Well Kabu what used to seem horrible was when men shot at the nests to bring down the young birds, I don't know if it is banned now, but I think public opinion would be aroused.  I have seen an old cook making rook pies and squirrel pies, but never wanted to taste that kind of delicacy. Perhaps you should invest in some ear muffs.

Shooting critters that can't shoot back and are not destroying your

crops is not my idea of a sport. Funny how some just ain't fulfilled unless they've got a target and a long gun. My oldest son hunts for the meat, but he uses a bow and arrow so the prey at least has a sporting chance at escape.

You tend to feel sorry for them being shot at like that. Glad you had a cosy breakfast with WJ Kabu.

Oh, I can't imagine shooting crows! They are so fun to watch, and are intelligent, stuctured birds. They can recognize facial features of humans, according to one study. There is also a pair of huge hawks that visit the trees in the back yard. Seem to be comfortable here while taking a peek around at the dinner cafeteria. Also fun to watch them. Glad you had a nice breakfast anyway.

It appears democracy gives laws to all sorts. What is right for one is not for another but that keeps fairness into the whole scheme. Perhaps you and I do things others would be totally opposed to and would do something about it if they could. Just know they do not think what they are doing is wrong.

Hunting season has started. The only thing I don't like about the autumn.
