Nice foot print, even I could tell that a toe was missing or a toe nail, perhaps his injured toe hurt if he pressed it down too firmly. Good old Wendy, she should get a medal for bravely waiting for the experts.

Good example of what to do when questioned by law enforcers even if you called them for help. Wendy could have turned it around especially when she got agitated, but she held her composure! Cool lady... Write on!

Nice bit of detail here - one question...
How would she know the # to call? Is there an emergency code like 9-1-1 here in the states? I know I'm being a nit-picker... I like the way your character thinks - her shift in attention is so exactly real.

Well they got the trap disarmed and the story is picking up with hint of interest in the woman's concern about her husban's feelings about this and the fact that she did not know her neighbors. This is drawing a desire to hurry and see what is next.
