work or not to work

Because you enjoy your employment that's always a great thing! When we are away from our jobs a sense of freedom emerge us: no boss to answer to, no co-workers trying to out do or jealous of your good deeds, no time clock to punch or involuntary over-time twice in 1/week. The sky is the limit for everything you choose to do or not do...invigorating, but it soon ends. Tomorrow back to work...sadness emerge!

Its more common than you may believe... Yes, FormerInternStudent you are healty and normal...lol

An interesting situation. It could be related to subconscious content that might have nothing to do with work at all! The subconscious 'plays tricks' on us sometimes...

you seem to enjoy routine ...so...How about working out a routine for your holiday...when to get up, when to exercise, when to visit the cinema for example and with who....where you will eat and stuff like that. It may calm those nerves, keep away the depression.

I am so glad you are doing fine now. There are many things that cause temporary depression. Sometimes we understand it and sometimes we do not, even not until it has long been gone. I am glad yours is gone. Be blessed.

I think you manage to handle the depression well without even realizing it. I find that for myself, all of a sudden I realize suddenly I have been depression free for 7 days or whatever.

Perhaps it wasn't depression but a type of repressed anxiety manifesting itself at that time. Then again, if you don't experience it now, I wouldn't worry about it at all. You sound like you have the necessary tools to maintain an even balance in your life. :)

I've had problems with change; maybe that was causing your depression

Routine and time transitions are not easy for many folks. Glad it resolved.

As CCT says, there are worse psychological concerns that feeling ...

depressed at the thought of being away from work/vacation. Our modern life insists we must do both, and extremely well, and share details. Pressure indeed. Carve out time for being alone ... all year round. Feed the soul, which seems your style anyway. Peace, Shalom, Blessings

Probably something deep in your subconscious. Nothing to worry about though, there are far worse maladies .
