Good afternoon

I have never been a victim of identity theft, and thankfully there are business owners like you that recognize that this is a really big issue that could happen to anyone.

I'll never forget having my pocketbook picked in Madrid and being stuck with no identification, passport, no credit cards, no driver's license, no money, a big sinking feeling, and a long day at the U.S. Embassy.

Wiley and I have had to have new cards issued more times than I wish. Sometimes it is just a concern after using a card and an extra charge being applied. We have to watch our pennies and cannot afford to be robbed.

Sometimes I get annoyed with all the security triggers, for lack

of a better word, such as when I'm out of town and use my debit card, but I do appreciate the reasons. Sometimes I think it would be easier to just deal with cash for everything everywhere but if that is stolen, there is absolutely nothing you can do except cry. Identify theft is a scary concept but I do wonder if it's as widespread and common as we're told it is. A few years ago, I found out my social security number had been used by probably an illegal for their job and that freaked me out until I was told I actually benefited because their wages added to my s.s. earnings and there was no sign of my number being used for anything else, thankfully.

I have one of those cards with the chip and got a new number so now when I do any transactions on line I have to make sure to change the numbers.  I hope these are more secure with the chips
